In 2003, Mr. Thompson became the youngest recipient of the prestigious "Peter Perlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer" award, given annually to an attorney in Kentucky who has demonstrated excellence in the courtroom. He is a member of the International Academy of Trial Attorneys, invitation-only, limited to 500 lawyers in the world and a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only trial lawyer organization comprising of plaintiff and defense counsel and representing less than one (1) percent of the attorneys practicing in the United States. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, was recently selected by his peers as one of the Top 10 Attorneys in Kentucky (Super Lawyer Magazine) and has received an AV rating, the highest rating an attorney can receive from Martindale-Hubbell. Tyler Thompson's considerable civic involvement includes serving as a trustee of Berea College and as a director of the Kentucky Family Safety Foundation.
