Nick Nichols is licensed to practice law in Texas and specializes in general litigation, business litigation, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, maritime law, and aviation. Mr. Nichols is a retired senior partner at the law firm of Abraham, Watkins, Nichols, Agosto, Aziz & Stogner, and a graduate of Rice University and the University of Texas School of Law. He is a member of The Inner Circle of Advocates, a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, a Fellow of the International Society of Barristers, a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (Director), and Advocate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (past President, Houston Chapter 1987), a Director of Southern Trial Lawyers Association, and a Director Emeritus and Fellowship Member of Texas Trial Lawyers Association. He is a Fellow of the Roscoe Pound Foundation, a member and former Governor of The Association of Trial Lawyers of America, a member of the ATLA President's Club, a former Adjunct Professor of Law and Civil Trial Advocacy at South Texas College of Law (Outstanding Adjunct Professor Award, 1986), and a Past Chairman of the Tort and Compensation Section of the State Bar of Texas.

Mr. Nichols is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and Continuing Sustaining Life Fellow of the Houston Bar Foundation, a member of the American Judicature Society and a Diplomat in the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. He is also a member of Trial Lawyers for Public Justice and the American Inns of Court, Garland Walker Chapter in Houston, Texas. He is a Keeton Fellow and a Clark Fellow and the Nick Nichols Endowed Presidential Scholarship has been established at the University of Texas School of Law. He is the recipient of the Southern Trial Lawyers Association's 2003 War Horse Award. He is listed in the Best Lawyers of America (20 years), Texas Super Lawyers and one of Houston's Top Lawyers for the People in H Magazine. He is the recipient of the Rice University Distinguished Alumni Award (2008) presented by the Association of Rice Alumni and was included in the Rice University Athletic Department's Book of Champions. He was the recipient of the Fifty Year Lawyer Award, State Bar of Texas in 2011, and Sports Lawyer of the Year, Texas Southern University Thurgood School of Law in 2012. Mr. Nichols was a frequent lecturer and speaker at various law schools and bar associations.
