As President of the Inner Circle of Advocates (2009-2011), he has been responsible for designing and implementing the educational exchange enjoyed by the members. Mr. Davis has achieved record verdicts and settlements in Hawaii for numerous cases over the course of his career, including the highest medical malpractice award in the United States against the federal government and the highest single compensatory verdict in Hawaii. He was recognized by The National Law Journal as having one of the top 100 verdicts in the country and was selected as 2009 Lawyer of The Year by Best Lawyers in America. He has been extremely active in civil rights litigation throughout the State of Hawaii. He served on The National Board of Directors of the ACLU and was one of Hawaii's most active civil rights lawyers serving as lead counsel in numerous first amendment, discrimination, and equal rights cases. Mr. Davis' practice frequently included representation of the "little guy," the victim, the disenfranchised, and the prisoner. He is past president of The Consumer Lawyers of Hawaii and in recent years, he has lectured and written on the subject of trial advocacy. He is an Adjunct Professor at the University Of Hawaii Law School.
