Edgar Simon was admitted to the Kentucky State Bar in 1940 and the California State Bar in 1946. He practiced medical malpractice and personal injury law from 1946 until the early 1990s when he semi-retired. After that he was volunteer
pro bono attorney at Bet Tzedek (House of Justice) Legal Services in Los Angeles where he was honored with the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services for his services to the indigent. At 91, he was the legal service center's oldest active
pro bono attorney. Mr. Simon is a proud alumnus of the UofL Brandeis School of Law which offers a scholarship in his name.
