Theodore Babbitt: Manufacturer forced to notify all purchasers of their product of defect

Inner Circle member Ted Babbitt of West Palm Beach, Florida, represented a man who was paralyzed when the basket of the crane-like machine he was using fell to the ground.  The manufacturer of the machine was aware of the defect and notified only their direct suppliers regarding the simple fix to their product.  As a result of the lawsuit brought by Mr. Babbitt, the company sent notices "printed in red" to everyone who had purchased their equipment regarding the safety fix.  These notices undoubtedly called attention to the defect as well as the simple remedy, and saved many others users of their product from injury or death.
