Ben Rubinowitz: Lavern's Law

This is Lissy McMahon, a single mom who's doctors failed to timely diagnose her with cancer. When Lissy went to an attorney the statute of limitations had already passed even though she had just found out that she had cancer. In New York the statute of limitations runs from the date of the malpractice. Lavern's Law proposes that the statute of limitations run from the discovery of the malpractice so that patients like Lissy can be compensated.
